Town of Paradise Valley resident Allison Nahon, and her schoolmate Anna Utakis, presented their Homework Helper App to judges from Intel, Avnet and ASU’s Fulton School of Engineering at the LITAS Technology Showcase on Sept. 5.
Middle school and high school girls from the greater Phoenix area presented their coding projects to judges and attendees, according to the LITAS website.
Miss Nahon and Miss Utakis, seventh graders at Basis, were the youngest presenters and received Galileo Maker Boards, according to a press release.
The Homework Helper App allows students to take pictures of worksheets, write on them, organize deadlines, and send homework assignments to their teachers, stated the website. The app is designed to help students succeed in school through organization.
