Xavier College Preparatory graduated 286 seniors on Saturday, May 16, at the school’s 69th annual commencement.
Members of the class of 2015 were accepted at 275 colleges and universities, and the graduates were collectively awarded over $22 million in merit-based scholarships, according to a press release. One hundred percent of the graduating class will attend college in the fall.
Through a dual-enrollment partnership that Xavier piloted with Rio Salado College in 1987, fourteen Xavier students graduated with both an Xavier diploma and an Associate of Arts degree, according to the release.
Nearly 50 percent of the class of 2015 graduated with at least one full year of college credit, and 66 percent graduated with dual-enrollment credit hours, according to the release.
