Xavier College Preparatory freshwoman Erin Cooney captured the Arizona Junior Ski Championship at Arizona Snowbowl on Saturday, March 4. Ms. Cooney won the women’s Slalom and Giant Slalom events, and the combined time of her two Slalom runs beat the combined times of all female and male skiers in the race, according to a press release. In equestrian news, Xavier freshwoman Isabella Risser won three jumping blue ribbons at a recent competition in Thermal, Calif., while freshwoman Kenzie Riddell captured the top junior varsity award in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association’s Zone 8 Hunt Seat Finals competition in Colorado Springs on March 4.
Workuity, a company that provides workspaces for businesses in-need of an office without the hassle of a long-term lease, has announced the opening of its Phoenix space in March 2017. The 18,500-square foot class-A office space is located on 24th Street and Camelback, and will office nearly 250 people, according to a press release.

More than 70 children in Cambodia will have a years worth of meals due to a visit to Feed My Starving Children by the elementary students of Christ Church School on Thursday, March 9. Students and chaperones worked together to assemble 26,352 meals, according to a press release. “It is great to be able to help other kids, and everybody worked together and cheered each other on,” said CCS fourth grade student Kai Cestero, in the press release.
